Golden Fluid acrylics are equal the intensity as the heavy body.  Having an even flowing characteristic makes them useful for dry brush application, fine details, pouring, spraying and staining techniques.  They are made by loading an acrylic polymer binder with concentrated levels of pigment for a wide selection of permanent and lightfast colours.  No fillers or extenders are added to achieve the desired consistency, nor is the fluid quality achieved with additional water.  Fluid acrylics have the same pigment load as the heavy body paints, but are in a viscosity that is similar to heavy cream.  Fluids allow for smooth flowing applications while retaining colour intensity tinting strength, film integrity and adhesion.  They blend will with all acrylic colours, readily tint gels, mediums, gessoes and grounds.  Ideal for fine brush work, glazing, staining, and water media techniques.  Fluid acrylic will load a brush more evenly than higher viscosity paints.  They will flow more consistently off the brush allowing for longer more uniform burhs strokes.  When a heavier stroke is required, they can be blended with any Golden gel to thicken the paint to various extents.  They work great for pours and puddles, drip or drag on canvas to achieve some unique effects.  By altering the speed, distance from the substrate and nozzle size or shape of the resulting pour or drip.  Adding a small amount of GAC800 may reduce crazing.  Adding clear tar gel for dripping purposes can yield lines that range from a spider web fine to brush stroke thick.  Made similar to the heavy body line by not adding any flattening agents or opacifiers choosing to keep each pigment’s intrinsic properties.  As a result, colours retain their clearest and cleanest qualities.  Paint retains excellent flexibility when dry, greatly diminishing the likelihood of cracking to occur.  They are able to absorb the constant stress and strain placed on canvas when shipped or as it expand and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity.
